Located in Feltham, Studio MTA was appointed to work with AEC to develop proposals for a new preschool nursery block as part of a feasibility study. This proposal forms part of a larger development of works at Springwest Academy.

The design proposal features dedicated spaces for different age groups, with open-plan layouts that facilitate flexible groups and one-on-one interactions. It promotes interaction with the natural world by integrating outdoor elements and ensuring visual connections to the garden. The proposed scheme includes zones within classrooms that will stimulate cognitive learning for children. The outdoor learning areas will be easily accessible, providing private spaces for children to enjoy.

The ground floor includes various rooms for different age groups, such as a toddler room and sensory room, along with a prep room, storage, and reception. This proposal complies with Government guidelines to create a safe and enhanced learning environment, ensuring good circulation and connectivity to classrooms and outdoor spaces.
