Fika 139

Fika 139, located along the lively and culturally rich Bellenden Road in South East London, Fika 139 a vibrant restaurant where the rich and diverse flavours of the Caribbean, African culinary traditions, and classic tastes of British cuisine come together in perfect harmony to create an unforgettable and unique dining experience. 

We were appointed to refurbish the existing restaurant thoughtfully. This included a light renovation to the seating areas, a new bar and refurbishment of the WC, ensuring that the new space would reflect the restaurant's essence while offering guests a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. A sustainable approach was utilised to retain the existing bar, which was repurposed into dining tables. Local community relationships are an important aspect of the scheme, the overhead bar display and kitchen fretwork were designed by Studio MTA and manufactured by a local metal fabricator, E Smith Metal, the new stone counters were sourced from a small local business and a mural was painted within the restaurant by a local artist.
